PROGRAMMING AND PRODUCTION COMMITTEE: SOME HISTORY WORTH SAVING
July 8, 2024: I got a wonderful message last night from Mary Lou Troy, one of our Production predecessors and heroes.
Here is some history about Teresa Pyott and Fred Kaiser, who were Chairs of our committee for many years:
"Teresa and Stretch did the Festival Programming in 1977 and 1978. For the next few years Teresa was credited with programming in the program book. Somewhere, probably in the late 70s, Fred started working with her and by 1986 was listed in the program book as co-chair of Programming. It became the Programming Committee probably in the early 80s. It did not become Programming/Production until 1997 when the Stage Management Committee, Video Committee and Sound got folded into Program/Production. When Fred "retired" from Programming, the committee became Production."
