Production Committee, PFF 2024

The chart below is last fest’s (2022) Production Schedule, presented for reference. This will give you an idea of the jobs we cover. Our schedule this year will be significantly different. Schedule created by Lance Lehman

*Note: Weekend Crew is not included on this graph. See potential times below. **Note: Andy’s advice (paraphrased): “Forget that 2022 ever happened. We are going back to the patterns of Fest 2019 and before.”

Many of the volunteers from 2022 are not returning. So far, on 6/22, those who are returning from 2022 and prior years are on the list directly below. We are grateful!

Here are shifts and hours toward an ideal total of 15 hours per volunteer. Mix & Match your schedule according to your availability to get as close to 15 hours as you can. Sunday night shortage is critical at this point, and *ALL* Sunday night jobs (9:45 – possibly 2) get DOUBLE hours bonus. Weekend Crew must choose at least one Load Out shift.

    • Couple initial thoughts

Is Klon expecting the same assistance as in previous fests ?

Is Andy and Al a sure thing ? Obviously both are valuable

How many on the list have paid

The sched layout looks similar to 2022

Whatever is decided I prefer a consistent team but not sure it is possible.

Who is handling checks this year

I will review more thoroughly in the next couple of days.

      • Thanks, Pat, for weighing in on this!
        1. Other than a brief meeting over a month ago, we have no interaction with Management. Other than knowing Klondike is back, we have no idea if they have updated their equipment, so let’s expect the same format as previously.
        2. We think Andy will be at fest. we hope so. Andy does not follow anything on the internet, which adds to the mystery. 🙂
        3. We have no control over who decides to work for us. We all need to do what we can to recruit volunteers.
        4. We no longer handle payroll checks. I am very pleased about this. Handling finances at the Exec Trailer is the rational approach and I am in favor of it.
Thanks again and let me know your ideas.
and, p.s. we are no longer supervising the stagehands. I will appoint shift leaders, who will interact with the sound company for direction. We will keep an eye on things and provide direction whenever needed. These kids have to learn the ropes and take over for us!

    • This looks good. I can not find anything missing . My only thought is to have as many helpers as possible for the load in and load out. I noticed that Ham Handed Sam from Midwood is NOT on the list. I will miss him and all his pleasantness… He was a font of inspiration.
